David Rollins
David Rollins has now written several books for children and remains a loving Haiku poet. Having previously been a lunatic, care manager, social worker, library assistant and child there's a fair few books and poems left to write.
The Three Insane Poets are David Parkin, who has a traumatic brain injury, David Rollins, who has borderline personality disorder, and Julie Stacey, who has bipolar disorder. This collaboration is at times hilarious, poignant, and always thought provoking. All three poets live in Leicester.

Three Insane Poets, is an amazing poetry anthology combining the poetic strengths of David Rollins, David Parkin and Julie Stacey. The poems are all thought-provoking, raw and at times hilarious, and guaranteed to stir your emotions. This is a no holds barred approach to the poetic verse and tells the brutal facts of living with injury and mental health. My favourites are 'Chaos' and 'The Rotting Corpse' by David Rollins, and 'The Worst Lie' by Julie Stacey, all three of these poems stand out for the frankness, and rawness on their delivery. David Parkin writes with such a unique view of the world with poems such as 'When I was gentle, When I was kind', and finally I have got to mention 'I'm Awake' by Julie Stacey, totally absorbed by the clarity and distinct style. We all talk about mental health this book will help you live and breathe it'. Totally recommend it, if you want poetry on the edge.

This is an amazing range of raw poetry from three soulful writers portraying their words from their own experiences with mental health - bipolar, brain injury and borderline personality disorder. Each poet brings their own dimension of writing in this collaborated book as we delve into their unique world of possibilities, turmoil and humour with their sane but insane writes!
My favourite poems are Dreams, Peace, The Worst Lie, When Words Go Blind, Landing On Your Head, In The Flow, When I was Gentle When I Was Kind and The Aeroplane The Dream.
Its edgey, organic, pure and a wonder to read, demonstrating what the mind can achieve in any state when it is challenged. Respect and admiration goes out to the three soul bearing poets for getting their words out there in this truly remarkable unique book.

Love the rawness and honest way these three poets share life experiences with us. No holding back and yet still poetic. Each poem shows you and puts you, straight into a situation full of emotion, confusion, anger and dismay. Love the way some of these poems are so of the wall but also shown to the reader as a fly on the wall. Congratulations to all three poets for a wonderful collection of raw poetry. So good to feast the eyes and the mind upon while reading.

An interesting read... written from a child's eye view. A trip to Wales pony trekking. I like the way every thing is described. Their adventures and that the story has a moral to it.

The book gave lots of insights in to the author being in (and out) the asylum, the problems faced there and the mixed feelings he felt.
It was well written and flowed well. I read it all in one go and would definitely recommend this book.
